Hi my name is Mari Vasquez. I decided to create a blog where I can share my journey in raising awareness for Interstitial Cystitis. This condition affects the nerves and bladder. My bladder has no lining meaning that I am always in pain such as burning, knifelike, stabbing, pressure and hemorrhaging consistent pain. Having Interstitial cystitis is very debilitating it makes you urinate every 15 mins of each hour of the day or night. There is no cure and doctor’s do not know how this happens. I have been in pain for 14 years now. We do not have new medications or treatments. I have done all the treatments available and they have never helped in fact made me worse. The last resort was the Medtronic Interstims and that just made everything worse. We need help. We need doctors who want to care and listen. At the present time I was sent to pain management because they don’t know what to do. Please help us raise awareness.
